• 2020 – Signed as undrafted free agent by Buffalo Bills (NFL) on May 7. He played two games with Bills in 2020 and made one tackle. He spent time on team’s practice squad over three years before being waived on Aug. 29, 2022
• 2022 – Joined practice squad of Arizona Cardinals (NFL) on Sept. 1. He was activated on Dec. 31 and saw action in two games, recording four tackles
• 2023 – Claimed on waivers by Carolina Panthers (NFL) on June 15. He was released on Aug. 26

College           

Thomas played 56 games over five years (2015-19) at Appalachian State. He was named second-team all-Sun Belt Conference in 2019 after recording 72 tackles, one fumble recovery and one interception-return touchdown during his senior season with the Mountaineers. Over the course of his collegiate career, Thomas accumulated 163 tackles including 7.5 tackles for loss, seven interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Personal

Thomas was a two-time first-team all-state high-school quarterback at Montgomery (Ala.) Academy. In four years as the Eagles’ starter, he threw for 5,190 yards and 35 touchdowns and rushed for 4,224 yards and 62 majors.
