Stamps sign two imports

Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce the signing of two import players — defensive back Coryell Judie and receiver Raymond Radway. As per team policy, terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

After transferring from Fort Scott Community College, Judie played his final two collegiate seasons at Texas A&M. In 2010 he earned honourable-mention all-Big 12 honours after recording 57 tackles, four pass breakups and four interceptions. He also returned 20 kickoffs for 605 yards — an average of 30.3 yards per return — and two touchdowns. During his senior year in 2011, he recorded 22 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and five pass breakups as well as eight kickoff returns for 201 yards.

Judie was signed by the NFL’s Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2012 and was released prior to training camp. He signed with the AFL’s Portland Thunder in 2013.

Radway played two seasons at Abilene Christian after transferring from Cloud Country Junior College on a track scholarship. In 2009, his first season, he recorded eight catches for 196 yards and two touchdowns before breaking his hand. He returned in 2010 and was the Wildcats’ third-leading receiver with 23 receptions for 438 yards and five touchdowns.

Known for his speed, Radway was a standout sprinter in college, winning the outdoor track title in the 400 meters at ACU in 2008.
