Over five hundred vendors lined 4th street for the 25th annual Lilac Festival this past Sunday. Thousands of people spend the sunny morning browsing through numerous clothing and art shops, listening to live music, sitting on patios and enjoying an endless variety of food.
The Outrider Cheer Team marched up 4th street as part of a parade that officially kicked off the festival. Many “Go Stamps Go” chants could be heard from Stampeders fans in attendance as the girls cheered their way through the crowded street.
The 4th street Lilac Festival was, once again, an overwhelming success and marks the beginning of many more downtown Calgary festivals.
