Hey Stamps fans!

Two weekends ago, the Outrider coaches and I went to Pro Action Dance convention in Las Vegas. We chose this convention because the instructors are the very best in the professional dance industry, and learning from these elite choreographers was sure to challenge our team to reach new levels.  

Here is what our experience was like.

Upon arrival, we were immediately amazed at the amount of professional dance teams that we would be learning alongside. These dancers came from the NBA, NFL, NCAA and of course the CFL. I was so proud to be representing the Stampeder Outriders for the first time ever at this exceptional convention.

There were so many routines taught and we only got to choose a few based on the style including pom, hip hop and jazz. I made sure to learn a variety of styles from many different instructors. To say these choreographers push you to your limits is an understatement. By the end of Day 1, I was sore, exhausted and my brain was fried!  

Luckily, Day 2 started with a long stretch and we were ready to get to work again! At the end of all the lessons, I had five new routines under my belt and would be performing four of them at the finale showcase. The showcase gave us a chance to show off our new routines for our fellow dancers and spectators. Imagine watching over 200 of the most amazing performers you have ever seen in one room cheering each other on as they take command of the stage. The energy was through the roof! I guess they need taller ceilings!  

Overall, I am so proud to have learned and danced alongside the best in the biz at Pro Action Dance this year. The choreographers and dancers were beyond inspiring! This was the experience of a lifetime! With our new knowledge from this convention, I am confident that the Outriders are going to make you fans even more proud! I can’t wait to show you some of these new routines on game day!
