Durant: A great experience

David Moll

That game was wild. You always dream of this experience playing pro football.

I got a little taste of CFL action in the pre-season, but it’s really nothing compared to when you get out there in a serious game, especially a game for first place in the division. It was a great experience.

Once I got into the game, I felt good and the pre-game nerves kind of went away. On that play where I made my first catch, I wish I got more than 19 yards. I could see the end zone but I got tripped up a little bit so I just made the most out of it. But once I got that play called and was able to make an impact, I really felt like I was truly in the game mentally.

I think it’s good to play a game like that because it really shows us that we can win close games with our type of team that keeps fighting until the end. But then it also humbles us and makes us work harder at practice to keep going and getting better. This game wasn’t good enough and we expect to be better. So I think it helps us in more than one way.

I feel like every game I can play, especially when I’m young like this, will help me for sure. The more and more I can play, I feel like the more and more I’ll just get in and go from there and show what I can do. So I think every game going forward will help a lot.
