Getting to know Brandon Boudreaux

DE Brandon Boudreaux during a game against Saskatchewan on Oct. 31, 2015.

Brandon Boudreaux is entering his second season with the Stamps. Last season he played seven regular-season and both playoff games and registered 11 tackles, a tackle for a loss of five yards, a knockdown, a special-teams tackle and five sacks.

Brandon made his CFL debut on June 29, 2012, as a member of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats where he played for two-and-a-half seasons before being traded to the Saskatchewan Roughriders during the 2014 season.

An East Division all-star in 2013, he led his team with seven sacks and also recorded his first interception that season when he picked off Kevin Glenn in a game against the Stampeders.

The Alabama native played football and ran track at Auburn High School before spending four seasons (2008-11) at Troy University. He has two siblings including a twin sister named Brittney.

We gave Brandon 10 sentences to finish, the rest is all him.

The teammate who can always make me laugh is . . . Frank Beltre. I’m not sure how to describe it — Frank is just Frank, you know what I mean? He’s always upbeat, that’s for sure.

The smartest person in our locker room is . . . Brandon Smith. Maybe a lot of people don’t realize it but my locker is right next to his and I can tell you for sure that he is a very smart guy.

The last thing I ordered online was . . . a couple of T-shirts. No, wait. I guess technically the last thing I ordered online was the pizza that I ordered last night. Brooklyn style.

When I order take-out food or delivery, my go-to meal is . . . pizza. And it’s got to be Pizza Hut. As for what kind of pizza, I try to mix it up. Sometimes it’s chicken, sometimes it’s veggie.

If I was in the music industry, my job would be . . . an R&B singer. Even though I can’t sing, that’s what I’d be. I’d just use auto-tune.

If I was commissioner for a day, the first thing I would do is . . . increase the minimum salary.

The first car I ever owned was . . . a 1997 Hyundai Sonata. With a light blue roof. It was like I was the black Dukes of Hazzard. But that car was breaking down all the time.

If company is coming for dinner and I want to make an impression, the menu will feature . . . I’d start off with a nice Caesar salad. I know it’s a cliché, but I really like Caesar salad and that’s the way I would start. For the entrée, I would go with maple salmon. And some sweet potatoes in some form. Maybe not sweet potato fries — instead, I’d cook them with some brown sugar. And you have to have some greens, so I’d have kale, too. Man, now I’m really hungry.

The non-football skill I would most like to master is . . . playing piano. I played trumpet in high school and in middle school, but I’ve always wanted to play the piano. I’ve always loved music.

Without a doubt, the person who would play me in a movie is . . . Kevin Hart, especially if he was taller.

If I won the mega-jackpot in the lottery, I would . . . give back to all of my family.

The historical figure I would love to have a conversation with is . . .  Jesus. I want to talk to him about everything.

The reality show I’d love to be on is . . . Iron Chef. I don’t even care what the mystery ingredient would be — I just know it would turn out great.
