The Calgary Stampeders have completed a trade with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, acquiring national offensive lineman Dillon Guy in exchange for the rights to national defensive back Adam Laurensse.

Guy was selected by the BC Lions in the fourth round (30th overall) of the 2016 CFL draft. He was released by the Lions at the conclusion of 2016 training camp and signed by the Roughriders.

He spent the 2016 season on the injury list and was most recently on Saskatchewan’s practice roster.

Guy, a product of Hamilton, Ont., played 41 games over four seasons at the University at Buffalo. He played 33 games from 2012-14 before sitting out the 2015 season due to injury. He returned to the Bulls for his senior season in 2016 and played eight games.

Laurensse, a 2017 seventh-round draft pick, attended training camp with the Stampeders before returning to the University of Calgary.
