The Calgary Stampeders have added veteran American receiver Markeith Ambles to their practice roster.

Ambles previously spent four years and three seasons (2018-19, 2021) with the Red and White, appearing in 29 regular-season games and making 117 catches for 1,399 yards and seven touchdowns. He joined the Toronto Argonauts as a free agent in February of 2022 and set career highs last season with 72 receptions for 737 yards and five touchdowns to help the Boatmen win a championship.

In four career post-season games, Ambles has 16 catches for 192 yards. In addition to his 2022 title with Toronto, Ambles also has a Grey Cup ring as a member of the 2018 Stampeders.

Prior to turning pro, Ambles played one season at both Arizona Western and Southern California before wrapping up his collegiate career with two seasons at Houston.
