Calgary responded with a good drive of their own.

Maier found Luther Hakunavanhu for 22-yards deep into Lions territory before the drive stalled, leading to a 38-yard Rene Paredes field goal to put the Stamps on the board.

The points would continue to come in the first quarter as BC once again put some first downs together with the help of an illegal contact penalty and then added three points on a field goal to make it 10-3 after one quarter of play.

The Lions wasted no time tying the game back up to start the second quarter after a seven play drive led them to a 30-yard field-goal.

Backup pivot Antonio Pipkin plunged into the pay dirt from one yard out to make the score 20-13, that would be the score heading into the final frame.

Calgary started from their own 40-yardline and put together their best drive of the night.

Maier found Begelton on third-down at the BC 36-yardline to keep the drive alive and then tossed the ball to Hakunavanhu who was wide open in the endzone to tie the game up 23-23 with two minutes remaining.

The Leos started the first overtime period on offence. Adams Jr found Burnham to the Calgary 18-yardline and Butler would run it in from there to give BC the lead. They would make the two-point convert after a Stamps offside penalty making the score 31-23.

Maier hit Peyton Logan out of the backfield on the Stamps first offensive play. After converting on third down Maier found former CLGry Dino Jalen Philpot in the endzone to bring them within a two-point convert. Maier threw it to Begelton in the endzone but it fell incomplete. Stamps Head Coach Dave Dickenson felt Begelton was interfered with and challenged but the booth disagreed.

The Lions defeated the Stampeders 31-29 in overtime.
